In 1963, the brothers Keskin founded Keskin color. They started with producing postcards with paper brought from Finland, but nowadays the company is well-known for its Karatis notebooks with Tomoe River Paper from Japan.
The Tomoegawa Paper Company was founded in 1914 in Japan and was named after the Tomoegawa River which flows close to the production site.
Tomoe River Paper is an excellent medium for fountain pen lovers and calligraphy enthusiasts. Weighing just 52-grams, the paper defies the set norm for notebooks. Tomoe River Paper highlights ink attributes such as brilliance and shading while keeping spillover to a minimum. The paper is exceptionally soft and allows for sharp, precise lines which give your writings a flawless result.
